Nicolas Anelka will depart South Africa this evening, leaving Florent Malouda as the only Chelsea man in the France squad at the World Cup.

The forward was substituted at half-time in his country's 2-0 defeat to Mexico on Thursday, following a dispute with team coach Raymond Domenech.

After discussions between the coach, player, and the French Football Federation delegation, it was agreed that the forward would return home.

'He will leave the Team France camp this evening,' said a statement on www.fff.fr, the Federation's official website.
