This legendary ride opened in 1979 and still stands today as the world’s longest wooden roller coaster at 7,400 feet. The Beast features thrilling 141 and 135-foot vertical drops and a spectacular 540-degree helix tunnel at an astonishing speed of 65 miles per hour! A ride on The Beast is an experience you’ll never forget!

Catch a Rising StarWhat do Nick Lachey, Carmen Electra, Justin Jeffre (98 Degrees), GiGi Rice (actress), Susan Perkins (Miss America 1978), Susan Kay Johnson (Miss Ohio 1987) and Lisa Akey (actress) have in common? One thing – they are among the many talented people Kings Island has employed in its entertainment program since 1972, making it very possible to catch a rising star in one of the park’s performance venues.

Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad – Many people today have never been on a train. And still fewer people have been on a real steam train. That’s why Kings Island’s re-creation of the railroad of the late 1800’s appeals to guests of all ages. Kings Island’s two locomotives have been at the park since it opened in 1972 and are full-scale replicas of the famous 1800’s locomotive known as The General, which was the subject of the Great Locomotive Chase of the American Civil War (The General is preserved at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw, Georgia). Although Kings Island’s engines are fired by propane rather than coal, they are in fact real authentic steam engines. The only thing Kings Island’s railroad lacks is the coal smoke and soot. The 400-gallon boilers on each engine make them real steam-spitting locomotives.

Grand Carousel – The Grand Carousel at Kings Island was purchased by Coney Island in 1926 for $201,000 from the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. A popular family attraction, the Grand Carousel is a classic attraction and features the 1918 Wurlitzer Duplex #165 organ with 28 jumping horses, 20 stationary horses, and is painted with more than 20,000 sheets of 23-karat gold and 1,000 sheets of sterling silver.

Kings Island Kids Capital of the World – For the ninth consecutive year, Amusement Today readers awarded Kings Island with the prestigious Golden Ticket Award for Best Kids’ Area in the World! Planet Snoopy features more than 18 rides, including more kids’ roller coasters than any other park in the world.

Eiffel Tower – It stands as a majestic symbol; almost like the caretaker of Kings Island. The structure stands 330 feet high, one-third the size of its famous French counterpart. Weighing 450 tons, the Eiffel Tower guards the end of International Street. More than 35 million guests have ridden to the top of the tower, which provides a spectacular view of the 364-acre amusement and water park and surrounding area. On a clear day you can see 18 miles from the top.

Boomerang Bay Water Park – Explore the coolest way to beat the heat in our splashtacular 15-acre water park. Boomerang Bay features more than 50 water activities including 30 water slides, tropical lagoons, rushing rivers, surfable waves, 36,000 square-foot wave pool, three family activity areas and careerning waterfalls surrounded by lush landscaping. Relax in style with five-star chair-side waiter service, cabanas, full bar facilities and family changing rooms.  Boomerang Bay is included FREE with park admission.

Also, Kings Island offers a hand stamp to re-enter the park, so many families can go home and take a nap before coming back to play in the evening and view the fantastic fireworks display during 10pm closings.

The bloodcurdling horror, mind-bending terror and nightmarish madness of Halloween Haunt features mroe than 500 ghastly creatures emerging from the darkness, 13 highly-intense and chilling haunted attractions and some of the most hair-raising rides on the planet!  Gates to the underworld are open until 1:00 a.m. every Friday and Saturday night in the fall, and until midnigh on select Thursdays and Sundays.  No one and nothing is off limits!
