Valve’s Left 4 Dead series of games are some of Valve’s biggest selling titles to date. That’s pretty good company, coming from the same developers of the beloved Half-Life series of games. Following the crazy good success of Left 4 Dead 2, Valve has announced ongoing support for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 by immediately beginning work on Left 4 Dead 3.
On Twitter this very morning, Valve has announced Left 4 Dead 3 is coming soon. Really soon. Really, really soon.
Today on www.twitter.com/ChetlovesValve, Left 4 Dead 3 was announced. Here’s the exact quote:
“Left 4 Dead 3 arrives tommorrow!”
This surprise announcement has annoyed many of the Left 4 Dead 2 faithful. Steam user “IpFreely” wrote in response: “I just bought Left 4 Dead 2 yesterday!”
When asked about the timeliness of the quick turn around for the third game in the series, Chet from Valve said,
“Well, when we finished Left 4 Dead 2, we all wanted to work on a sequel as fast as possible, that way we could get out the game before anyone could try and boycott it…”

im sticking to the regular l4d in lan parties, im not willing to play any new L4d “x” until they use a new game engine, i mean, the hf2 game engine is fucking awesome but when every other Valve release is basically constructed upon the same game engine it feels rather repetitive even with new editions to the game

Jets??? really that would be too easy, i think that they should be able to stick a pipe bomb onto a zombie so it can run around and have the other zombies attack while they are about be blown up.
maybe a rocket launcher. They really should make it harder though, the 1st one is wayyyy easy, 2nd is kinda easy, so they should take it to the next level. you should also be able to have 2 melee weapons and depending on the gun, 2 guns, that way they can make more zombies and bigger hordes. And finally, another special infected, just like 1 or 2 more, cuz we dont want too many special infected. and the levels should be longer. Good idea?

I think that you should be able to create your own character and give him or her a name. Give your character a realistic tone of voice. Make it to where other characters can actually pronounce your name. All as if its the real you in the game. There should be more campaigns to choose from. Each campaign should cover more levels throughout a larger area such as maybe a whole town or something such as a forest out in the country or a metropolis surrounded by suburbs. There should be more difficulty levels to choose from. There should definetely be more varieties of weapons to choose from. Make it to where you can actually pick up random objects to defend your self with as featured in Dead Rising. But, most of all, there should be more zombies and a larger variety of special infected. It could feature a character known as the Infector or something, which could be known for tearing into survivors and causing them to become infected in a matter of seconds. But most importantly, the game’s graphics should be so much more realistic.
dude,..seriously?? l4d2 has incredibly good graphics especially in the cut scenes..i was really impressed…but they added nothing new to this game at all that wasnt n the first..only new levels..im with u on everything else

I vote that they make a L4D thats like 28 days/weeks later. There should be a HHHUUUGGGEEE city as one level and you start at one end and there are like 4 or five possible end points for escape (ie through a forest, to an airport, ect) You should also be given a map that shows the locations of various safe houses around the town that act as save points. you could make a giant map and place like 50 of them around the town. also the said map will show gun stores where you can find an arsenal of different weapons and gadgets to upgrade them with. also, there should be pharmacies that you go in to get med packs and such. another thing that would be sweet to see is like after every fifth safe house you get to, there is a showdown where you spend some time searching for ways to barricade the safe house with furniture you find and board up windows and set traps and such stuff like that. and once night falls they descend like crazy on you. it would be kinda like a strategy FPS. plan the attack. and i agree with the idea of finding other survivors. maybe if they made such a huge environment they could support an 8 player co-op. i mean come on, we all want something like that in a game, why do these companies keep holding out?
Really? That is an awesome idea mister/mam. I never thought of that. Finding survivors will be very cool. I never watch 30 weeks later or whatever it’s called i wanted to but never had the chance. You seem pretty creative if you buy L4D3 or if you have and other L4D’s tell me your x-box live account (considering i think you have one) for we may play together. I’ve been thinking and well they should make zombie children. Not all humans are adults! (including me) but maybe they could make the zombie children special infected? Like imagine 2 zombie children dragging you away to a park? Or 3 dragging you to a tree house? Or 4 dragging you to a school? They should also make toddlers as zombies i know i might seem evil but i really want to be scared i never watched a movie or played a game that scared me shit-less. They can make the zombie babies or toddlers as crawlers just zombies that bite/attack your ankles. That is the rumored “Screamer” but I did hear that they weren’t going to put it on the game because it does the exact same thing as a Boomer, attract the hordes. Again, only a rumor.
