But the Crunchpad project did fall apart. Why? Because it wasn't feasible. Only a fool would have tried to build a tablet and sell it for $200. It takes more than a dream to launch a successful product. Apple doesn't have to worry to much about rival tablet companies. The iPad is the new iPod. All the rest of the tablets will be relegated to Zune status. Once the iPad establishes a 9 million to zero ratio over the rest of the industry, it's practically over for other companies' tablets in terms of relevance and mindshare.

You'll have to wait a while for a Google "pad". Google is still tearing the iPad apart figuring out how to duplicate everything. They still can't figure out how to get a polished Android UI that the average consumer can use since Android wasn't quite designed for tablets. You might be lucky to see a Google "pad" after the Christmas holidays when Apple sells their 9 millionth iPad.

Yes, it did change something. It boosted Apple's share price to new levels which matters a lot to investors. See how that works.

Only one hand-held mobile device supports full Flash and that's the Nexus One. Load in the Flash and the browser slows down considerably. See how foolish running some crap like that is for users. Flash doesn't belong on hand-held mobile devices at this time except as a demo showing how badly it sucks.

This should make some sense to you. Apple prefers selling to super-power nations, not third-world nations. There's no money in it. Third-world nations should only be concerned about food, housing, education, transportation. Third-world country consumers should not concern themselves with owning the latest electronic devices. No iPads for Pakistan. Those that have iPads probably had enough money to travel elsewhere and bought them.

Jesus Pad. It's hard to imagine many priests would be giving up their standard missal for an electronic device. I guess the page lengths are fixed because it would be rather awkward if the priest changed the character size and things got repaginated incorrectly. "Now turn to page (such and such) and parishioners would come up with a different page.
