Lead Concept Artist
Bungie Studios is looking for an exceptional concept artist who will work closely with the Art Director and Art Leads to establish a style and feel for the environments, characters and objects for exciting new Bungie titles. You will also work closely with the production art team to help them envision what the finished results can be for the in-game content they are creating. As the ideal candidate, you should amaze us with creative designs and artwork and have the capability to inspire greatness in those around you.
Essential Functions

Lead and manage a team of concept artists.
- Work collaboratively with the Art Director and other Art Leads to help shape and communicate the vision of our game.
- Inspire and motivate the team by creating high-quality concepts that clearly illustrate the characters and their environments.
- Develop concepts, style guides and documentation throughout the course of the project.
- Serve as a mentor to colleagues, providing guidance, constructive feedback, and coaching to enhance their efforts.
Desired Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Concept Artist.

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional attitude and an ability to take constructive criticism.
- Excellent concept art skills in both character and environmental area with an eye for perspective, color, lighting, and atmosphere.
- Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including, but not limited to, figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.
- The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game content.
- Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player.
- A passion for games.
- Experience with Photoshop, Painter.
- 3D software knowledge not an absolute requirement.
- AA/BFA preferred, or at least demonstrates through portfolio an industry standard level of art.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Exceptional creative writing skills, especially in service of vivid, complex, memorable characters
- Minimum 5 years game industry experience or two, shipped AAA games; branching or non-linear narrative experience a plus
- Solid track record of team leadership
- Excellent design and artistic sensibilities; straight-up mission or character design experience a plus
- High level of comfort in a collaborative writing process; solitary scribes need not apply
- Zero desire to parlay your game writing experience into a film, TV show, novel &c.

User Interface Design Lead

As Bungie's User Interface Design Lead, your goal will be to design a consistent, rich, and logical architecture for our UI across all platforms and portals, and then realize that goal as you drive it through production. You will communicate your designs through documentation, flow designs, and functional prototypes. You will collaborate with our graphic artists to design and deliver a rich and interesting experience, and with our designers to ensure intuitive integration with the in-game experience. You will work closely with all departments as you drive your design through all phases of production. You will collaborate with User Research to test that our UI is ultimately accessible and user friendly. You will work with the Test and Localization teams so that our UI designs are localization friendly and platform compliant. Thus, taking us all one step further toward world domination, and a useful paperclip.

Tools Engineer

Bungie needs a tools programmer to build software for its artists, designers, testers and engineers to use to make awesome games. You will work with just about everyone in the studio to make their lives better and streamline their workflow. From building level editors to wrangling data formats, this position involves a breadth of technology and feature areas almost unheard of elsewhere in software development.

Server Programmer
Bungie Studios is looking for an experienced developer of server-side software to create and maintain scalable services to communicate with our games and our internal development tools. The Developer will generally use C# and SQL Server, authoring new tools and services and maintaining and expanding existing ones. Existing databases in this toolset have reached 50 billion rows, and 89,000 transactions/sec, so a firm understanding of performance and scalability is essential.

Design scalable, reusable software pipelines for processing and exposing large quantities of data with the flexibility to adapt to changing interfaces as the game code evolves at the same time as the toolset.

Plan, deploy, and maintain complex environments as Bungie’s Senior IT Engineer. We’re looking for candidates who can solve bizarre problems and tackle unusual technology related requests by employing the deadly art of Datacenter-fu.
Key Functions
