RamKids Eligibility and Services

Who is Eligible?
To find out if you are eligible, call or stop by our offices. What services are offered to students?

  • Academic instruction and tutoring
  • ACT (American College Test) and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) college admission testing workshops
  • Motivation and personal development
  • Career exploration
  • Specialized services in math, science, and reading disciplines

What are the Benefits?
During the school year, RamKids students have the opportunity to be involved in a number of activities, including:

  • Saturday tutoring/workshops, instruction and college preparation sessions
  • Weekday after-school tutoring

During the summer, students can participate in:

  • College life in the residential program
  • Daily classes that emphasize academic skills, study techniques and test preparation
  • Extensive tutoring

What is the Cost?
There is no charge other than your commitment to education and abiding by the policies and procedures of the program. You are the future!!

How do I apply?
If you are a freshman or sophomore at Blount, Vigor or LeFlore high schools in Mobile County, Alabama, contact your school’s principal, counselor or parenting coordinator to obtain more information about the RamKids Program.
