We idolize anyone who's not afraid to ramp up the Gaga gear on the red carpet, and this week, that person is Kristin Cavallari. The former Hillzie may always stay true to her laid-back beach style, but when it's time to get glammed up for an event, she totally brings it. At the L.A. premiere of "Salt," K-Cav flaunted her bod in a Blonds gray open-neck dress with eye-popping chain and spike embellishments on the shoulders.

People tuned in to last night's boo hoo finale of "The Hills" for a couple of reasons: Dedicated fans had to know what, if anything, would come of Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner's iffy relationship, and longtime Lauren Conrad supporters couldn't wait to see her reunite with the cast at the party. While the night marked a momentous yet bittersweet conclusion for Season 6 Hillzies (make sure you check out each cast member's personal goodbye message to "Hills" devotees), LC was all about kicking back and having fun!

Check out the video below, where Conrad says she's so happy to have been able to return and catch up with the cast and crew. As for her current day-to-day life, she's completely adjusted to being off camera and is getting ready for her double book tour slated to kick off in October.

Of the couple different endings "The Hills" production team filmed, they ultimately decided to go with what you witnessed on last night's series finale: a surreal scene in which Brody Jenner and Kristin Cavallari wave each other a sweet goodbye as a studio set breaks down around them. Brody told MTV News he was flattered they decided to close the show with a shot of him and also commented that "This ending was perfect because you still don't know what was real, what was fake and it's kind of like L.A. in a sense. I thought it was very clever, and I was happy with it."

+ How did you feel about the final seconds of "The Hills"? Do you agree with Brody that it was an appropriate way to go out, or did it only confuse you further about the show's reality? Take the poll, then watch the video to find out one of the alternate endings that included Lauren Conrad!

Take a look at these hot shots and tell us: Whose style stood out the most on last night's "Hills" finale red carpet?

Tonight marks the end of an era, as the Hillzies prepare to flap their wrists and say farewell. But don't expect them to bow out without sharing their two cents about the whole reality show experience. If there's anyone that knows what it feels like to be in the public eye, it's Queen Bee Kristin Cavallari. In a recent interview with MTV News, The "Hills" star offered up some useful advice for the latest batch of MTV superstars -- the "Jersey Shore" cast.

Since Kristin and the gang are passing the fame-and-fortune torch to the East Coasters, she advises that they remain true to themselves. "Once you see yourself and you start listening to what people say about you, you might try to be somebody else and censor yourself," K-Cav shared. "I hope they try and stay the same and are the same hilarious people that they were the first season."

There will be happy endings for some on the series finale of "The Hills," but for others -- namely its star, Kristin Cavallari -- life will take a bittersweet turn. Judging by this sneak peek of the last episode, Brody and K-Cav's longtime friendship will come to a major crossroads when he says he won't be showing up to her going-away party. Dick move if you ask us, but at least it's because he just doesn't want her to leave L.A. Still, Brody's in love with someone else, and it doesn't look like Kristin will ever get her "One Tree Hill" moment. (Um, hello, 'member when Lucas told Peyton "It's you" and "It always has been," and there was confetti falling from the basketball court rafters, and then they kissed, and that awesome song was playing in the background and ... I really need to get out more.)

They've come a long way since dropping their first uncomfortably long pause. But just because the cast of "The Hills" now spends their Saturday nights getting dolled up by an entourage and posing for paps in designer dresses doesn't mean these ladies weren't absolutely beautiful back in the humbler days of Laguna Beach keggers and Hillside Villas sunbathing sessions. Take a look at some of the oldie but goodie-goodie pics we pulled out of the archive to celebrate the (sniff) series finale of "The Hills" (Tuesday, July 13, at 10/9c).

First up, Kristin Cavallari (aka K-Cav)
As Lo told Kristin on this week's episode, she's always been the girl who guys wanted to (fill in the blank) and who girls simply wanted to be. She's evolved into a stylish and poised young woman since high school, yet we doubt anything/anyone will ever take away her feistiness (especially when some dumb psycho someone equally as opinionated crosses her path).

Heidi Montag (aka One-half of Speidi)
You don't live under a rock, so we won't bore you with observations about how much she's physically changed. Still, looking at this picture of Heidi and Jordan from Season 1, we can't help but wonder, What if the young couple had actually worked things out, gotten hitched and led a quiet Spencerless life teaching Sunday School in Crested Butte? Would she look the same as she does now?

Audrina Patridge (aka 'Drina)
Audrina's always been the girl whose photo you place on your refrigerator to keep you from snacking more. While her pretty face has matured quite a bit, we dig that she's still sporting them ceiling eyes.

Lauren Conrad (aka LC)
Everyone loves Lauren because no matter what the drams, she's always stayed true to herself. Same goes for her appearance. Even today she proudly rocks the Cali beach cutie look. Girl's just got a much better dye job to go with it now.

Whitney Port (aka Whit)
She may have moved on to "The City" and settled right in the center in all kindsa semi-grown-up person BS, but we'll always consider her that sweet, by-the-book Teen Vogue intern who tripped down the stairs on live TV.

Six seasons ago, Lauren Conrad packed her pink suitcase and left the comfort of Laguna Beach for the unknown hills of Hollywood, where she quickly signed an apartment lease with her then-best friend, Heidi Montag. Much has changed since the girls moved into Hillside Villas (like the fact that neither of them is even on "The Hills" anymore), but when the series wraps Tuesday, July 13, what will fans remember most? Will it be the bitchtastic fights between frenemies or the roller-coaster relationships that seemed to never die? Well, no matter what story line people hang onto, there's no denying that the show has changed the way we all see and feel about reality TV.

Check out this exclusive video clip from MTV News, where Kristin Cavallari says that among all of the things "The Hills" will be remembered for, the picturesque quality of the show is what really set the foundation for a new breed of reality television -- the docu-soap.

+ The glory days of "The Hills" may be numbered, but that doesn't mean we have to hang our heads in mourning. Instead, we're celebrating all weekend long with a farewell marathon and "The Hills: Revealed" special on Saturday at 12/11c, featuring all sorts of insider-y info from the cast. Make sure to tune in for it all!

We're getting pretty damn close to the series finale, and it looks like a happy ending may be in store for Lo (an engagement?) and Stephanie (a new man?) -- but not so much for the star of the show, Kristin Cavallari.

On tonight's second-to-last episode (EVER) of "The Hills," Brody broke his friend with benefits' little sister's heart by telling her he'd moved on with another woman. Of course, we all know the identity of this mystery girlfriend by now, but the news totally came out of left field for Kristin. Judging by her tear-filled eyes during lunch with Lo, it was a slap in the face that brought about lots of regret. What if she had opened up her heart to Brody earlier? If she'd been up front with him from the start, would he be tweeting his love for her instead of for Avril Lavigne? Tough to say, so we'll put it to a vote and let you guys weigh in:
