New for 2010, Kings Island presents Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular, an immersive light and sound experience starring everyone’s favorite PEANUTS characters and their summertime adventures. This colorful pageant of more than two million LED lights invites guests to explore a breathtaking display the entire family will enjoy after a day of fun and thrills.

The thrill of a roller coaster ride will have a whole lot more meaning Thursday, July 29, when Kings Island hosts “Coasting for Kids 2010” to raise money for Give Kids The World Village, the Florida-based nonprofit organization that provides weeklong vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Kings Island and the Greater Cincinnati Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure are teaming up to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

Now thru August 21, Kings Island guests can support the fight against breast cancer or honor someone that has been affected by the disease. There are two ways you can make a direct impact:

Buy a Duck and You Could Win a Car!

Purchase a little pink rubber duck online or at the park now thru August 21st. Ducks are $5 for one or $20 for five. All net proceeds from the duck sales go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Cincinnati Affiliate.

All ducks will be tossed into the Royal Fountains at Kings Island. Buy a duck online and we’ll chuck it for you. Buy your duck at the park and you can chuck-a-duck into the fountains yourself!

On August 21st one lucky duck will be selected randomly and the owner of that duck will become the owner of a new 2010 Toyota Yaris courtesy of Joseph Toyota of Cincinnati!

Some of your favorite Kings Island treats will be available in cool shade of pink with a portion of each sale going to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Cincinnati Affiliate. Pink ice cream, pink funnel cakes, pink popcorn, pink Sprite, t-shirts and other merchandise will all be available to create a fun day and raise money for a great cause.

The Dan Beard Council and Kings Island will team up again to host the second annual Boy Scout Camp-O-Ree. Camp-out inside Kings Island and join in exclusive events.

Kings Island will be teaming up with race directors Don Connelly and Kelly Weissmann for the 2010 Run Kings Island event. This fun filled day has something for everyone and is for athletes of all levels; two great scenic courses (10k & 5k) that are both challenging and fun. Plus, a half mile kids run just for the little ones. So, pack-up your family, put on your running shoes and join us for some fun at Run Kings Island 2010!
