SMX Advanced is the only search marketing conference designed exclusively for experienced internet marketers. Sessions are fast-paced, Q&A-packed, frequently controversial, always informative…and don’t stop to cover the basics. Fluent in search engine marketing? Come to SMX Advanced and engage with others who speak your native language.
And there will be plenty of learning and sharing. The most accomplished search marketers in the world will present cutting edge tips for driving traffic and increasing conversions from paid search advertising, SEO, social media marketing, search analytics and more.
Finally, SMX Advanced is intentionally intimate, so you’ll be certain to meet the people you want to meet. This conference sold out in good times and bad each of the three years since it started in 2007. We could relocate and sell more tickets, but the ingredients — the content, networking, and energy — are too precisely formulated to change.
Google software engineer Matt Cutts will make a return appearance at SMX Advanced Seattle. He’ll participate in an always popular and engaging "You&A" format keynote, an unscripted conversation with you and others in the audience.
Joining us on Day Two will be Yusuf Mehdi, who has been instrumental in leading both web search and search advertising initiatives at Microsoft. In this keynote Q&A, Yusuf will discuss the evolution of search at Microsoft, the alliance with Yahoo and future initiatives Microsoft has planned.
Conference co-chairs Danny Sullivan and Chris Sherman are the executive management team at Search Engine Land, the leading news and analysis site covering search engine marketing.
For a decade, they have been organizing cutting-edge search marketing events where the information presented is so good that attendees frequently start implementing solutions discussed at sessions during conference breaks! Click here to read more about what you can expect from an SMX conference.
Danny is Editor-In-Chief of Search Engine Land and a frequent keynote speaker at SMX. He founded the first site on search marketing in 1995, has been helping webmasters, marketers and everyday web users understand how search engines work ever since. He is the Chief Content Officer of Third Door Media, the parent company of Search Engine Land and SMX.
Chris has analyzed and influenced developments in search marketing for more than a decade. He is Executive Editor of Search Engine Land and the creative force behind programs Search Marketing Expo events around the world, including SMX Advanced London. Here’s what attendees of previous SMX Advanced said:
“SMX Advanced is different. For the first time in more than 3 years, I’ve actually attended sessions because I felt they were interesting and I could learn something. It’s a wonderful feeling. I’m a natural student by nature, and I love learning new things.”
- Ian McAnerin, Founder & CEO, McAnerin International, Inc.
“I met lots of people and heard several amazing speakers that were far more knowledgeable than I am in their areas of expertise. At a small conference like this, you get to rub elbows with some of the brightest minds on the planet, and pick their brains.”
- Scott Hendison, CEO, Search Commander Inc.
“I loved the experience, the whole conference and Seattle. I think it was intimate (it was easy to chat with the SEO stars), useful and tons of fun…Overall, I had a great time and came out feeling like I was in sync with the rest of the industry. It set me back in the right ‘SEO’ direction.”
- Anne-Marie Castonguay, Luxury Retreats International
“Great conference, definitely the best we’ve been to. The Q&A portion of each session alone made it worth it. It was energizing.”
- Lynne Polischuik, Mezine.com Inc
“SMX Advanced was a resourceful and engaging conference consisting of intelligent speakers and an intelligent crowd.”
- Julie Sun, MTV
“I just got back from the “SMX After Dark” party thrown by the fine people at Double Click, Impaqt, and Bruce Clay, Inc. – a great shindig guys, really – and thought I would share it with all of you. The event was held at the Odyssey Maritime Museum – which is located immediately next to the convention center – and featured lots of entertainment, food, drinks, and most of all fun.”
- Karl Ribas, SEM consultant
“SMX Advanced was great! Absolutely the best event I have ever attended.”
- Adam Killam, Research Capital
“This conference was great – more information and insight into SEO & PPC given in 2 days versus the other 4 day conferences.”
- Jennifer Doerschuk, The Karcher Group
“Really enjoyed the sessions, very informative.”
- Emma Cockburn, AvenueA – Razorfish
