Olympiacos have completed the transfer of Liverpool midfielder Albert Riera, revealed their official website.

"Olympiacos announce the acquisition of Liverpool's Spanish international Albert Riera. The player has signed a four-year agreement," read a statement by the Greek club on Friday.

It is reported that the entire deal is worth €6 million (€4m plus another potential €2m in bonuses) in terms of the transfer fee, and his salary is worth an approximate €2.5m per season. The left-sided player would be one of the most expensive purchases in the history of Greek football if that is confirmed.

The 28-year-old fell out with then Reds boss Rafael Benitez last term and did not make Spain's squad for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
