CTA e-Alerts
CTA’s e-Alerts is a free e-mail subscription service for notifying customers of planned changes to bus and rail service. These changes may be related to construction, maintenance, special events, introduction of new service, etc.
Initial Public Launch
While this service initially provides information about scheduled work and events that have an impact on CTA services, there's more to come. We're working hard to develop new features to bring you timely information about bus and rail service in a variety of ways to best serve your needs as our customer.

The following notifications are available:
- Weekend Service Changes
A summary of planned service changes for the coming weekend providing information on each service change, how customers’ trips will be affected and why it is happening. This will be sent on Thursday for the upcoming weekend.
- Weekday Service Changes
A summary of planned service changes for the week ahead providing information on each service change, how customers’ trips will be affected and why it is happening. This will be sent on Friday for the week ahead.
