SHIRE SIGN FOUR
Four new players have been added to the Shire squad in time for the start of the new season this weekend.
Kevin Cawley, Mark Duigan, Darren Kelly and Fraser Team have all signed short-term deals with the club.
Of the four, Kevin Cawley's likely to be the best-known to Shire fans. Orginally part of Celtic's youth academy he joined Ayr United last season and made a few first team appearances for the Somerset Park club.
But the striker later found games harder to come by and was sent out on loan to Stranaer. He played aganst Shire in the 2-2 draw on our last visit to Stair Park.
Mark joins Shire from Perth team, Kinnoul Juniors. He has impressed in the pre-season matches in the right-back position.
Darren Kelly was part of the Hibernian under-19 team that two years ago won the SPL Youth League and the Scottish Youth Cup. He left Easter Road last summer and spent last season with St. Johnstone.
After being released by Saints, a number of part-time teams were chasing his signatureand Shire are delighted to have secured his services.
Fraser Team is a young striker who has already impressed in the pre-season matches. The Glasgow-based player was part of St. Mirren's youth set-up last season.
We wuld like to welcome all four players to the club.
