The Geiger GTS, based on the Corvette ZR1, is a modified version
of Chevrolet's flagship sports car.
Revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Geiger GTS features
the same 6.2 litre supercharged V8 as the ZR1 but power has
been raised to 710 hp @ 6,600 rpm, and 667 lb-ft (918 Nm) of
torque from 4,200 rpm. Thanks to the power increase the Geiger
GTS can reach 60 mph in 3.6 seconds on its way to a 212 mph
top speed.
Aside from the engine upgrades Geiger Cars have also made some
modifications to the bodywork. This is supposed to lend it a
styling which is reminiscent of the Gran Turismo cars of the
60's and 70's. Although quite where this influence is integrated
into the design is difficult to see.
The front and back were modified, with a wide air vent dominating
the nose, and a massive diffuser features at the rear. The standard
fog lights and taillights have been replaced with specially
designed LED units.
