Infinity Ward may not be what it used to be, but it's certainly going to remain an elite-level developer.

Activision Worldwide Studios boss David Stohl recently told UK website Develop he's expecting the studio to have a full recovery from the events last March that led to the resignation of over 35 of its employees.

"I'm not going to sit here and say no good talent left the studio, because obviously a lot of good talent did," he said. "But a lot of people who are really passionate about their job are still there.

Besides Modern Warfare creators Jason West and Vince Zampella, Infinity Ward also lost several key senior-level producers and designers. Activision recently said on its latest earnings call that both Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer games received over 5,000 job applications to fill vacant or open positions.

"I'm one hundred per cent confident that the studio will come back to what it was, especially considering all the talent we're seeing rising through and also being recruited," Stohl added. "There's a development philosophy that remains intact, and the studio is attracting amazing new talent."

"Ultimately, Infinity Ward will rise from the ashes."
