Each year, the Colorado Avalanche hosts its annual Charity Golf Classic at The Ridge at Castle Pines North in Castle Rock. The entire team including players, coaches and front office personnel participate in the event. The event gives fans and sponsors the unique opportunity to spend a day golfing with their favorite Avalanche personality while raising funds for a very worthy cause.

Avs Better Halves Diaper Drive
Prior to the Avalanche’s game versus the Minnesota Wild on Jan. 28, the Avs Better Halves were at all Pepsi Center entrances to collect diapers, wipes and cash donations.
The drive was to benefit The Gathering Place, which supports women and children experiencing homelessness and poverty by providing a safe daytime refuge and resources for self-sufficiency. As Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women and children in need of safety, opportunity and acceptance, The Gathering Place serves an average of 360 women and children every day.
The Diaper Drive resulted in the donation of 5,032 diapers, 12,000 wipes and $3,575 in cash.
The Children's Hospital Visit
Each December, the Avalanche visits The Children's Hospital in Aurora to bring holiday cheer to some very special children. The players distribute Avalanche teddy bears, sign autographs and spend time talking to the patients and their families. This year's event marked the 13th straight year that the Avalanche has visited The Children's Hospital during the holiday season.
