Aug. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Pakistan’s monsoon rains and floods destroyed 2 million bales of cotton and the nation may produce 10.25 million bales this year, missing the target, according to the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association.

“We will miss the target of 14.7 million bales and won’t be able to match last year’s production of 12.6 million bales either,” Haji Muhammad Akram, chairman of the group, said by telephone on his way to Multan. “We will eventually produce 10.25 million bales.”
