Record attendance at the Abilene Zoo!


More people than ever before are visiting the Abilene Zoo with its 500 animals representing over 160 species including lion, jaguar, giraffe, zebra, bison, alligator, monkeys and various birds. During the 2009 fiscal year 172,343 people visited the zoo!

Now through August the front gate of the zoo now closes at 8:30 pm on Thursdays!

The Abilene Zoo is dedicated to promoting an increased awareness of the natural world through conservation, environmental education and the preservation of endangered species.

 


On The Wild Side

airs Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.,
Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 7:00 p.m.
