The Abilene Zoo is located in Nelson Park, across from the Taylor County Expo Center, off Highway 36 at 2070 Zoo Lane, Nelson Park, Abilene, Texas 79602

$4.00 for adults (ages 13-59)
$3.00 for seniors (60+)
$2.00 for children (ages 3-12)
Children under 3 are free!

The zoo maintains a collection of both plants and animals. The animal exhibits are surrounded by plants native to Texas, including butterfly gardens.

The zoo cares for more than 500 animals representing over 200 species. The zoo maintains two species of primates, Black Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebras, Jaguars, Bison, a diverse selection of reptiles, and several aquariums.

The Zoo Education Department provides educational programs, summer camps, weekend educational programs, pre-school classes, tours, and special events year-round.
