Deutsche Telekom AG provides telecommunications and information technology services in Germany and internationally. The company offers fixed-network services, including voice and data communications services; and network access, including analog, universal/ISDN, and IP access, as well as calling services to individual, business, and wholesale customers. It also provides interconnection, IP, and network services to third-party domestic carriers and service providers, as well as additional wholesale services, including Internet transport services for broadband and fixed network service providers, such as virtual ISP services; transport services for carrier interconnection; leased lines for the transmission of data and voice traffic; and carrier services networks. In addition, the company offers mobile communications services, including digital mobile telephony voice services and data services, such as short message services, multimedia messaging services, mobile Internet, and other data services to retail and business customers. Further, it provides IT integration projects, application management, and application development services; and sells terminal equipment and other hardware, as well as offers services to resellers. Additionally, the company offers value-added telephone services, data communications solutions, and support services and publishing services, as well as sells products and services through its Telekom Shop outlets and services for energy-based products used to operate telecommunications. Deutsche Telekom AG was founded in 1995 and is based in Bonn, Germany.

Deutsche Telekom AG may boost its stake in Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (OTE), Chief Executive Officer of OTE, Panagis Vourloumis said. He estimated that Deutsche Telekom intends to increase its stake in OTE but the Greek state is not keen to divest stake, as the current price of the company’s share is very low. Deutsche Telekom is known to have made relevant inquiries to the Greek government. Deutsche Telekom does not see an imminent intention from the Greek side to divest a stake, for which DT would pay a premium, Deutsche Telekom consider the current price of the share as a bargain.
Deutsche Telekom AG has established a division dedicated to intelligent power grid solutions, electronically linked healthcare and media distribution. The CEO targets combined revenue for the newly founded unit of at least EUR 1 billion (USD 1.3 billion) by 2015.
France Telecom has dismissed rumors of a potential deal between Deutsche Telekom AG and company. Rumors about a potential marriage of the two companies emerged after Deutsche Bank AG increased its stake in France Telecom to over 5%. Deutsche Bank declined to comment on rumors. "There is no plan to bring together France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom," the spokeswoman said.
