The scale of the disaster in Pakistan caused by heavy monsoon rains and floods is massive. One-fifth of the country is now underwater, and entire villages have been swept away.
UNICEF is appealing for £30 million to fund its relief operation for the millions hit by flooding in Pakistan, including an estimated 1.4 million children.
The drop in the water level in North West Pakistan has allowed UNICEF to reach more children and their families, gathered on higher ground in schools and government buildings.
