Ron Santo’s passion, compassion inspired
If you ride the L to work, you might have known on Friday morning the moment you saw the “10” pennant flying at half-mast above Wrigley Field.
Brady sets Hendon straight
Good for Bill Brady.Six weeks ago, when Brady was running for governor, State Sen. Rickey Hendon tore into him as “idiotic, racist, sexist” and “homophobic.”That was an outrage. One can disagree with Brady’s conservative views without calling him a hater or a neanderthal.Brady is, in fact, an honorable man.Last week, conveniently after the election, Hendon tried to apologize, but was rebuffed.“Rickey,” Brady said, “you can’t apologize for that.”So true. And a warning to those who would throw around slurs in the heat of an election. You can’t always take them back.
