Distinguished Alumni Awards

The following awards may be presented annually to individuals that best fit the descriptions and criteria for each Distinguished Alumni Award. You do not need to be an alumni of the university to nominate an AU alumni for an award.

You may also want to view the current Alumni Award Recipients and past recipients. 

Please send nominations to Ben Davis.
Submissions should include the following:

  • Name and address of nominee
  • Award they are being nominated for
  • Reason the individual qualifies for the specific award
  • Name and contact information for the person making the nomination

Anderson University Distinguished Alumni Award

The following criteria are used in selecting the Distinguished Alumni Award recipient:

  1. An alumnus of Anderson University having completed a minimum of 24 semester hours
  2. One who has given distinguished service to humanity through his/her profession and/or personal achievement
  3. One who has demonstrated continuing interest in Anderson University

Anderson University Distinguished Young Alumni Award

The following criteria are used in selecting the Distinguished Young Alumni Award recipient:

  1. An Alumnus of Anderson University having completed a minimum of 24 semester hours, who has attended AU within the past 10 years.
  2. One who since attending Anderson University has distinguished him/herself through professional and or personal achievement.
    1. Exemplify Christian principles
    2. Outstanding peer leader in their profession and community
    3. Demonstrates promise of further distinction
    4. One whose contribution reflects well on the University
    5. One whose life is a challenge and an inspiration to others in the University community
  3. One who has demonstrated continued interest and or contact with Anderson University

Anderson University Distinguished Service Award

The following criteria are used in selecting the Distinguished Service Award recipient:

  1. Past or present member of Anderson University faculty or staff
  2. One who has given outstanding service to Anderson University
  3. A person who has characterized the values and ideals of Anderson University

John H. Kane Loyalty Award

The following criteria are used in selecting the John H. Kane Loyalty Award recipient:

  1. An alumnus or friend of Anderson University
  2. One who has given distinguished service to Anderson University
