Data Czars: Data and the Deepwater Horizon Disaster

Louisiana Geomatics Professor Awarded Sizable Research Grant
www.tri-parishtimes.com: The Louisiana Board of Regents recently awarded seven enhancement grants - totaling $473,481 - to Nicholls State University faculty members. The largest grant was awarded to Dr. Balaji Ramachandran, assistant professor of geomatics, who received $121,130 for his project titled "Acquisition of Terrestrial Laser Scanning Systems for Multi-Institutional Teaching and Research Enhancement."
