The compensation received by the State’s Attorney and the State’s Attorney’s Office budget should set an example of fiscal discipline by allocating resources wisely. Job one is seeking justice, and that job does not require the wasting of taxpayer money.

Steve Bailey has practiced law for twenty-three years. For most of those years he has worked as a highly respected prosecutor, taking violent criminals off the street and keeping Baltimore County a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Steve believes that elected officials should live like we do, modest pay, reasonable benefits, and no perks, that’s why he will cut the excessive salary, refuse the gold-plated pension, and give up the taxpayer financed county car. Steve believes that it’s time to replace career politicians with qualified citizens who are willing to make a sacrifice to serve, that’s why he’s pledged to serve no more than two terms if elected. Steve takes seriously his duty to spend taxpayers’ money wisely and that’s why he’s committed to requiring Baltimore County government to deliver better services using fewer resources.
