Every home and away Sounders FC match will be broadcast live on KONG-6/16 or KING-5, except those broadcast nationally. Each broadcast will feature an exclusive pregame show and a postgame wrap-up. BELO will also produce a weekly show.

The Seattle Sounders FC and FSN reached a multi-year agreement that will increase the broadcast exposure for soccer fans in the Northwest. FSN will also serve as the presenting sponsor of the Sounders FC Members Association, which provides the team’s supporters one of the most integrated and unique connections to the franchise in all of sports.

FSN will own the distribution rights for a variety of ancillary programming featuring Sounders FC, which include match replays and team shows, both on the network and via on-demand (VOD). FSN gains the exclusive right to replay Sounders FC matches from the time the game ends until the next Sounders FC match is played. FSN will also have the opportunity to produce and air a weekly Sounders FC show which will give Sounders FC fans a unique perspective on the club through the network’s exclusive access.

As the presenting sponsor of the Members Association as well as the team’s series of youth community events, FSN has extended its commitment not just to the team and its fans, but to the greater soccer and sports communities throughout the Northwest.

The Seattle Sounders FC are also in partnership with sister stations KUNS 51(Univision) and the new KOMO2. Play-by-play will be provided by KUNS Noticias Noroeste Sports Director Jaime Méndez with former USL Sounder Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar as analyst.  Alcarez-Cuellar’s expertise includes a total of six years as a professional player in the Pacific Northwest.

KUNS 51 will also be the home to a weekly half-hour show on every Saturday from 6-6:30 p.m. “Sounders FC en Acción” will be hosted by Méndez, and sports reporter/producer Elimar Ugueto.

Radio

The Seattle Sounders FC and Bonneville Seattle Radio Group partnered to broadcast all Sounders FC home and away matches on News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM.

Bonneville will air Sounders FC match broadcasts as well as pre and post game shows on 97.3 KIRO FM. Bonneville and Sounders FC will also join forces to produce a weekly 30-minute Sounders FC show on the new 710 ESPN Seattle.

KIRO has received the highest national honor for radio – The Edward R. Murrow Award of Excellence for outstanding broadcasting achievement – five times, in 1982, 1989, 1991, 1996 and 2001. In 2005, 710 KIRO won more Edward R. Murrow awards than any other station in the United States.

710 ESPN Seattle, which debuted in April 2009, will feature radio play-by-play and comprehensive coverage of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. 710 ESPN Seattle will broadcast a line-up of local Seattle-based sports news and sports talk programs, along with selected nationally-syndicated programs from ESPN Radio Network.
