For the second straight year, BYU opens the season against one of the top quarterbacks in the nation — a Heisman Trophy candidate and the projected No. 1 overall pick in the National Football League draft.
If you're hoping for emotional farewells, football practice is the last place to look.
The freshman weakside outside linebacker signed with the Cougars in 2009, but Van Noy had to wait until January to enroll at BYU due to legal and honor code issues.

It seems like any golfer would want as large a lead as possible going into the final round of a big tournament like the Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open.
It didn't take long for Tauni (pronounced: downy) Vakapuna to establish himself. Since transferring to Utah, the former Dixie State running back scored a touchdown in the spring game and led the Utes in rushing in all three scrimmages during camp.
