Size E Crochet Hook

Small amount of 4 Ply Yarn [Bow] - Black

[Turkey] Bronze - Pumpkin - Artichoke - Gold - Buff - Red - Coffee

Small amount - Fiber Fill

Test Gauge = 4 Rows x 8 Stitches of double crochets.

Bow Tie

With Black yarn - ch 8 - turn - sl st into 4th ch from hook - ch 4 - turn - sl st into 4th ch from hook - ch 4 - finish off black yarn.

Attach to Jacket front neck center st. Trim all yarn ends.

 

Turkey

Bodies - Starting at chest area - with Bronze yarn - ch 3 - join to form a circle - ch 3.

R1: Work 13 dcs in the center of circle - join - ch 3. (14) sts

R2: Dc in same space - dc in @ st around - join - ch 3. (15) sts

R3: Dc in @ st around - join - ch 3.

R4: * Dc the next [2] sts together * - repeat around - join - ch 1. (8) sts

R5: Tail - Sl st through the next 2 sts - ch 4 - 2 trs in the same space - 3 trs in the next 3 sts - 2 trs in the next st - ch 4 - sl st into same space - sl st through the next st - join - finish off bronze yarn leaving a 6" thread. (15) sts

Stuff body with fiber fill - using 6" thread - weave through st of R4 - drawing up tightly - tie off securely.

R6: With front of tail facing - join Pumpkin yarn to the top of the 1st ch 4 with a ch 1 - sc in the next 2 sts - * 2 scs in the next st - sc in the next st * - repeat across to last 2 sts - sc in the next st - sl st into the last st - finish off pumpkin yarn. (20) sts

R7: With Artichoke yarn - join to the 1st sc of R6 with a ch 1 - sc in the next 2 sts - * 2 scs in the next st - sc in the next st * - repeat across to last st - sl st into last st - finish off artichoke yarn. (26) sts

R8: With Gold yarn - repeat R7 across to the last 2 sts - sc in the next st - sl st into the last st - finish off gold yarn. (35) sts

R9: Join Buff yarn to the 1st sc of R8 with a ch 2 - * sc in the next st - [sc in the next st - sc in the back loop of same st] * repeat across to last 2 sts - sc in the next st - sl st into the last st - finish off buff yarn. (48) sts

Head & Neck - With Red yarn - ch 3 - join to form a circle - ch 3.

R1: Work 6 dcs in center of circle - join - ch 4 - sl st into the front loop of same st - ch 4 - sl st through front loop of the next st [2 Wattles made] - sl st into the next st - ch 3. (7 sts + 2 ch4s)

R2: Dc in @ st around - working across the back side of Wattles - join - finish off red yarn. (6) sts

R3-R4: Join Bronze yarn to center underside of neck with a ch 2 - sc in @ st around - join - ch 2. End of R4 - finish off bronze yarn - leaving a 6" thread.

Attach head & neck to body using the 6'' thread through the 1st and last chs of Wattles - put to fit snuggly against neck. Using yarn needle - thread yarn end through top front sts of R1.

Beak - Working across top of head - from top to bottom - make a 3 wrap French Knot with Gold yarn - finish off yarn.

Feet & Legs - With Coffee yarn - leaving a 4" thread - ch 5 - * turn - [sc-dc-sc] in the 2nd ch from hook - sl st through the remaining 3 chs * [1st leg + foot made] - ch 5 - repeat *---* join - finish off coffee yarn - leaving a 4" thread. Attach to the under body at the base of tail. Weave in and trim all yarn ends.
