Village of Verdigre - Nebraska


VERDIGRE, NEBRASKA, is located in Knox County in northeast Nebraska, approximately 200 miles north of Omaha, Nebraska; 242 miles north of Lincoln, Nebraska and 90 miles west of Sioux City, Iowa.

VERDIGRE is a proud farming community! Northeast Nebraska farmers primarily raise corn, oats, soybeans, alfalfa, beef and dairy cattle and hogs. Area wildlife, which is abundant, includes wild turkeys, pheasants, rabbits, squirrel, deer, raccoon, ducks, geese, and coyotes. Fishermen enjoy fishing for catfish, walleye, northern pike, crappie, perch, blue gill, bass, etc.

Standing Bear Bridge which connects South Dakota and Nebraska near the town of Niobrara gives Verdigre a link to numerous locations within South Dakota.
