Everyone loves a good mystery. There are plenty happening in the Batman universe these days, too. Who will be Batman once BATTLE FOR THE COWL concludes? We’re not telling, obviously. Another mystery? Who’s this Red Robin guy that’s getting his own ongoing in June? Again, we’re not telling. But we can fan the flames a bit. Here are a few pages from the second issue, in pencil form, from artist Ramon Bachs, who’s teaming with writer Chris Yost. Oh, and the cover to RED ROBIN #3, hitting in August. Take a guess.

We take great pride in the fact that it’s taken us over a month to use these two words: Spoiler. Alert.
You’ve read FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF THREE WORLDS #4, right? If not, please shut down your computer, walk briskly to your nearest comic shop and buy it. Then read it. Understand why we’re doing this? Excited? I hope so. Now click on the headline — or that handy “More…” link below — for some art that will blow you away. Do not say we didn’t warn you. Because we did. Numerous times. I’m saying it again because, by nature, I’m a paranoid creature: SPOILER ALERT.

Some of you saw a few of these pages in the back of select DCU titles recently, and we’ve shown some amazing Amanda Conner inked artwork and covers (not to mention those cool Guillem March variants) — but it’s high time we showcase final pages from the first issue of POWER GIRL here on The Source. Writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti team with the very talented Amanda Conner to launch everyone’s favorite Earth-2 Kryptonian into her very own ongoing series. But enough from me. Click on these pages.
POWER GIRL #1 hits 5/6.

Well, of course we had to end with the Black Lanterns. And, as you’ve probably noticed, IGN has a first look at the amazing piece of work by artist Doug Mahnke, which gives us a first look at the Black Lanterns and some of their potential members.
And in case you missed it, here’s a collection of our entire CORPS 101 series, from Green to Black. Why waste valuable time linking back when we can show it all in one place? That’s my logic, and I’m sticking to it.

A speedster is dead. Barry Allen, the newly returned Flash, must find out who — or what — is responsible. But Barry has his own secrets haunting him, and if he’s not careful those secrets could very well send him hurtling back into oblivion. Click on the pages below to experience part of the second issue of writer Geoff Johns and artist Ethan Van Sciver’s reinvention of the Scarlet Speedster.

You’ve gotten a peek at a few of the upcoming co-features over the last few weeks, including MANHUNTER, RAVAGER and THE QUESTION, but there’s still one that hasn’t seen the light of day: CAPTAIN ATOM, co-written by James Robinson and Greg Rucka with art by CAFU, who you first saw in the pages of the recent VIXEN mini-series. Who is this Captain Atom? How does he fit into the DCU? We’ll let the story speak for itself, which kicks off in ACTION COMICS #879, in July.

Yes, it’s only Tuesday. But look at it this way — that means a few more days of cool debuts here at The Source. Surely that’s motivation enough?
• In case you missed it, the team at MYSPACE COMIC BOOKS previewed SUPERMAN #687 and SUPERMAN/BATMAN #59.
• Over at Comic Book Resources’ Robot 6 blog, Tim O’Shea talks to R.E.B.E.L.S writer Tony Bedard about the series, and artist Claude St. Aubin’s upcoming stint as artist.
• In Batman news, Neil Gaiman and Andy Kubert’s conclusion to “Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?” got positive review attention from Comic Book Resources, Newsarama’s “Best Shots” team and IGN. IGN also previewed the first issue of BATMAN: BATTLE FOR THE COWL — THE UNDERGROUND.
• Newsarama shows off some shiny TRINITY pages and Robot 6’s Tom Bondurant continues to annotate every issue. Impressive, eh?
• The build up to BLACKEST NIGHT continues, with IGN previewing GREEN LANTERN #40, and reminded people about that page Eddie Berganza posted last week. Newsarama’s Vaneta Rogers spoke to artist Ethan Van Sciver at length about the looks for the different Lantern Corps and their symbols.
• And in case you were still hungry for Red Circle info after our debuts last week, superstar artist J.G. Jones spoke to Newsarama’s Matt Brady about his role in redesigning the characters for the DCU.

What’s love got to do with it? A lot, actually.
The Guardians of Oa have the Green Lanterns while their counterparts, the Zamarons — fueled by emotions, unlike the Guardians — created the Star Sapphires, a group of super-powered soldiers wielding the power of love.
Click below for more info on the Star Sapphires, in this, our penultimate “Corps 101.” Can you guess which comes last?

We all know Amanda Conner is the artistic draw when it comes to the new POWER GIRL ongoing series, which pairs her with the writing team of Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti. But the series also shows off some nifty variant covers — the first two, from Adam Hughes are out there, but here are two more, for issues #3 and 4, this time from GOTHAM CITY SIRENS artist Guillem March. Nice, huh?
