Skate Park Finals Gallery from the Dew Tour Championships
Chaz Ortiz won the Dew Tour Championships, but he needed to fend off fellow Gatorade Free Flow champion Timmy Knuth, this year’s Gatorade Free Flow champ Alec Majerus, three-time Dew Cup winner Ryan Sheckler and respected street skater Ryan Decenzo in an intense final jam on the park course filled with big gaps and rails. Surprisingly, the most heated topic of conversation at the start of the skate park finals in Vegas had nothing to do with who might or might not be skating away with the Dew Cup. Instead, among those entering the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel where the street course was located, talk focused on the pros and cons of the course itself. more

Ryan Sheckler
Ryan Sheckler, stepped onto an old board belonging to his father when just eighteen months of age. In 1995 he came across his first quarter pipe. Within a few years, Sheckler joined the CASL (California Amateur Skateboarding League) and proceeded to win one state championship after another, picking up eye wear sponsor Arnette. In 2003, at the encouragement of World Industries, Sheckler turned pro at thirteen years of age. He immediately put an end to any uncertainty of his ability with first place finishes at the Gravity Games, the Vans Triple Crown, Slam City Jam and the X Games. In fact, his success in the Skateboard Park event made him the youngest participant ever to earn a gold medal at the X Games (13 years of age).
In 2005, he successfully defended the title as National Street Champion and added World Street Champion to his long list of accomplishments. That same year, Ryan not only took the overall title in skateboard park at the Dew Tour but he also earned the title "Athlete of the Year" by accumulating the most points of any athlete in all disciplines on the tour. In 2006 and 2007 Sheckler also claimed the overall Dew Tour title.
MTV brought Ryan's life to the television screen in 2007 with his reality show, "The Life of Ryan". It was such a sensation that MTV picked it up for an additional season. At just 18 years old, Ryan has turned his name into a franchise. He just started his own merchandising line, Sheckler Merch. Along with his brothers, Ryan is creating a foundation to be named the Sheckler Foundation, which will provide funding and assistance to those in need. Being able to give back to the community is something that Ryan is very passionate about. During the minutes and hours in between skate sessions, Ryan spends time enjoying his other passions. He is an avid fan of motocross, as well as, anything car related. He claims to have an addiction to music, especially rap, heavy metal and classic rock .

First Annual Make-A-Wish Foundation of Los Angeles Benefit Skate Jam
Local So Cal rippers Anthony Pshebelski, Billy Davenport and Andrew Pott killed the East LA contest that benefitted Make-a-Wish. There was not only some serious ripping but also a variety of skateboarding legends showed up to support their friends and the cause.

Sheckler wins Kid's Choice Award
In a year where Ryan Sheckler had to sit out most competitions because of injuries, his fanfare didn’t falter. Sheckler beat out the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Shaun White for the title of Favorite Male Athlete at Nickelodeon’s 2010 Kid’s Choice Awards.
