LENGTH 1.5 miles
ELEVATION Beginning: 4200' at end of Leigh Lake Road

Ending: 5200' at Leigh Lake
ACCESS From Libby, travel about 7 miles south on US Highway 2 to the Bear Creek road turnoff. Turn right and travel 3 miles to Cherry Creek Road 867. Turn right and follow about 4 miles. Turn right on Leigh Creek Road 4786 and proceed approximately 2 miles to the trailhead.
ATTRACTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS This is a short, steep trail that is heavily used as an access point into the Wilderness. Scenic views of Snowshoe Peak and Leigh Creek are available along the trail. Mountain goats are often seen on the slopes above the lake. A suggested route for climbing Snowshoe Peak takes off on the north side of the lake. No camping is allowed within 300 feet of the lake. No motorized vehicles are permitted on this trail, and no vehicles are allowed within the wilderness boundary.
