Well, 2004 has been an up-and-down year for me, to be honest. So I haven't updated my site as much as I would have liked. But I would like to thank
www.turbulent.ca for hosting my site without a hitch. Top-notch company.
I received a couple of new Magic deck submissions, you can check them out here:
Magic decks - list
Before the year-end, I'll try to add to my list of Magic cards for sale. Thanks for your patience.

I'm changing the style of this page, to match the rest of the site. Hope you like it!
Thanks to all of you who have submitted your Magic deck lists to me! You can check them out here:
Magic decks - list
When I'm not building maps for Unreal Tournament / Deus Ex / Tac Ops, or playing FPS games online, I try to build Magic decks. Now you can see why I'm not on the Pro Tour. :)

By request, I've created a page of Magic cards for sale.
It's a work in progress, but you can check it out here:
Magic Cards for Sale
I don't have time to put my whole collection on the web page, so if you're looking for a specific card let me know!
I collected Magic cards from Revised edition, The Dark, Fallen Empires, Ice Age, Alliances, Homelands, Mirage, Visions, Weatherlight, Tempest, Stronghold, Exodus, Odyssey, Torment, Judgment, Onslaught.

Just killing some time before Game 7 (Anaheim Angels vs SF Giants), thought I'd crank out a webpage for my long-time hobby, Magic: the Gathering.
From 2000 to 2002, I was heavily involved with all things to do with Unreal Tournament. But before that, I was a Magic: the Gathering junkie. I started playing around the time of Revised Edition and the Dark. If that means nothing to you, perhaps you'd like to return to my homepage:
Smeerkat - Unreal Tournament Maps, Tutorials, Resources
Anyway, someone built me a Magic deck with some proxy cards (Power Nine), and I played in this proxy-card tournament at a gaming convention. I did well (came in second place), and I was hooked. :(
It was a "creature-less" deck, with Wrath of God, Blinking Spirit, Jade Statue, Fireball, Lightning Bolt, and other control cards.
For months, I slowly acquired (most) cards to build my own copy of the deck. The Power Nine is really not necessary in this deck, so I substituted dual lands. I play-tested the deck a lot, and over the years it has seen some changes.
Blinky Deck: strategy
I won't bore you with some long-winded monologue (oh, wait...I already have...); it's basically a control deck that uses card advantage and board advantage to clear the way for Blinking Spirits and Mishra's Factory workers to do damage.
If you want a great site for Magic: the Gathering strategy and decklists, try Star City Games.
Smeerkat's 5-Color Green Deck (October 2002)
After the Blinky deck, I toyed around with some other deck archetypes, like Ernham-Geddon and Blue-White Control. When the Mirage block came out, I found a neat deck idea on the Web - a green deck with Birds of Paradise and City of Brass, that allows you to splash all five colors in the deck.
This was the deck I was looking for all my life. Well, maybe that's a bit melodramatic, but I really enjoy playing this deck. Anything my opponent throws at me, I have an answer for it. (Except for Mike D's 'Weekend at Polar Kraken's' deck, but I'll save that post for another day.)
5CG Deck: strategy
Another cleverly disguised control deck, it has no counterspells but it can destroy everything when I feel like it. Once your opponent is thoroughly pissed off, you bring out a Maro or Lhurgoyf for a big green stompy.
Smeerkat's other Magic decks
I've got many other Magic decks on the go, including a Tradewind Rider deck and a Psychatog deck. In general, I research the Web for cool deck ideas, then modify them to suit my own playing style. Some decks that don't interest me: Necropotence, White Weenie, Cursed Sligh, Suicide Black.
