Revolve aspires to be a window with a view onto creative energy emanating from the regions bordering the sea. One or two artists (possibly with a show) will be promoted per issue, from rotating but equally represented regions. The artist can be a writer, actor, painter, sculptor, architect, photographer… The profile of the artists will include photos, interviews and reviews of their work. Translations from excerpts of novels, non-fiction, and/or short stories will also be covered by Revolve. We are a platform for displaying and selling work: all sales go entirely to the artists. No commission!
Hybrid identities are becoming more and more common, so artists with mixed backgrounds or with multi-cultural experiences are of particular appeal. Authors writing about other parts of the sea, for example, would be solicited. Travel stories or short tales about other countries and cultures are encouraged to present new perspectives. We strive to discover and support emerging or untapped talent.
