It's taken a couple of weeks, but it seems like Caroline is growing into those fancy new fangs of hers.

During last night's episode of 'The Vampire Diaries,' Candice Accola once again proved her acting chops (dental pun TOTALLY intended) as brand new vampire Caroline continued to adjust to her new way of life.

I, for one, applaud this sassy, strong, take-no-prisoners, eat-the-policemen-who-try-to-kill-her-friends Caroline. But can the girl at least get a napkin to clean herself up afterwards?

"If werewolves exist, where are they?"

Why, they're in Mystic Falls, Va., where all supernatural creatures go to wreak havoc, of course!

The question posed by Damon on last night's episode of 'The Vampire Diaries' could just as easily have been asked about vampires or witches -- any number of mythological beings, really. Since Mystic Falls seems to be some sort of magnet for supernatural activity, everything spooky winds up there eventually. Thankfully, there are folklore experts hanging out at universities to help explain the phenomena. But more on that in a bit.

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 2 Premiere: Five Questions We Hope Get Answered Tonight

by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 9th 2010 5:30PM

'The Vampire Diaries'When we last left Mystic Falls, Va., some seriously crazy stuff had gone down during the OMG-filled season 1 finale of 'The Vampire Diaries,' leaving a plethora of questions in its wake. High school student Elena's vampire doppelganger came back to town, kissed Elena's vampire boyfriend's brother (who happens to be her ex), and chopped off Elena's uncle's fingers. Yes, that is actually what happened, non-watchers. See what you're missing out on?

Now that we've had all summer to digest what happened in the finale, our list of questions has only gotten longer. Wish all we want, we're probably not going to get too many answers during tonight's season 2 premiere, but there are a few we're hoping get addressed tonight. (And no, we haven't seen the episode yet.)

Melinda Clarke Talks 'Nikita' and 'Vampire Diaries'

Melinda ClarkeButt-kicking babes are back in a big way this fall, and The CW's 'Nikita' has more than its fair share of sexy action heroines.

The new series is an update on the 1990 movie 'Nikita,' the movie's 1993 remake 'Point of No Return' and the 1997 Canadian TV show 'La Femme Nikita.' In The CW's version, Nikita (Maggie Q) is a rogue assassin conspiring to topple Dvision, the secret government agency that trained her.

But Division has weapons of its own, including Melinda Clarke's Amanda, a manipulative psychologist who may just have been a former assassin herself.

Clarke spoke to TV Squad about learning to kick butts alongside Maggie Q, her mysterious character and whether we'll see her again on 'Vampire Diaries.'

EXCLUSIVE! CW Stars Sophia Bush and Misha Collins Give Back

Sophia BushEveryone loves an underdog -- and in terms of ratings, few can deny that The CW often seems like a scrappy featherweight trapped in the primetime ring with four heavy-hitters.

But when it comes to making a difference in the lives of fans and the public at large, (even those who are too impoverished to own a television), it seems as though the CW network might just be the undisputed heavyweight champion. (We're done with the boxing metaphors now, we promise.)

Whether it's raising money for the clean-up in the Gulf following BP's catastrophic oil spill, finding homes for abandoned dogs, aiding in the rebuilding of New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina or helping orphans in Haiti, the passion and dedication of the CW's stars is tireless and undeniably inspiring.

Over the weekend, TV Squad caught up with Sophia Bush of 'One Tree Hill' and 'Supernatural' star Misha Collins to discuss their latest charitable projects and give advice to anyone who wants to help change the world, one random act of kindness at a time.

The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley, Blood Brothers
(S01E20) "You're back on Bambi blood, and I'm a badass big brother again. All is right in the world." - Damon to Stefan

A jealous brother, an evil uncle, and a trusting girlfriend all played into this episode of 'The Vampire Diaries.' We also got some flashbacks that revealed more of the Salvatore brothers' backstory and why Damon hates Stefan so much. Although, really, if he hated him that much, he wouldn't have organized the rescue mission to extract Stefan out of the vampires' farmhouse lair. Maybe he did it more for Elena than anything else.

And is it just me, or are Damon and Elena getting awfully chummy lately? I'll answer my own question: yes, they are.

Stefan may think he's the good brother, but despite his best efforts to stay that way, he's going dark. He can't deny his true nature, and drinking human blood just brings that boiling up inside his soul.

    The Vampire Diaries: Under Control
(S01E18) "Have I entered an alternate universe where Stefan is fun?" - Damon

Somewhere in the last few episodes, things have shifted on 'The Vampire Diaries.' Now Damon seems like the good vamp (well, sort of; how fun was it to see his face when Uncle John came back from the dead?), while Stefan is going dark. I don't mind seeing Stefan go dark, because, frankly, he's a little boring being so virtuous all the time.

But he's not going willingly, that's for sure. He's trying hard to detox, but that drink of human blood last week -- Elena's blood -- gave him a wicked hunger that is not easily satisfied. Is there a 12-step program for vampires?

The Vampire Diaries, Let the Right One In
(S01E17) "I'm not gonna turn someone who learned everything he knows about vampires from Netflix." - Anna to Jeremy

There's a storm brewing, not only in the weather, but also those 25 cranky vampires in the farmhouse outside of town. By the end of this episode, there were a few less vampires there, not to mention the owner of the house.

Damon and Alaric made a great badass team, even if Alaric was ticked enough about the whole incident to slug Damon after it was all over. And everything that happened helped to further my fascination with (the still not-dead?) Frederick, especially after Pearl told him they can't live by revenge and need to have better control over their emotions. We can see how well that worked for him.

The Vampire Diaries, There Goes the Neighborhood(S01E16) "I have 400 years on you, little boy. I'll rip you from limb to limb, and you know it." - Pearl to Damon

Just another average day on 'The Vampire Diaries' -- Matt and Caroline on a double date with Elena and Stefan. Or as Stefan put it, "a nice evening out with friends ... as in ... fun."

Let's face it. There's not going to be any fun for anyone on this show, especially with those 25 restless vampires in the farmhouse -- or as I like to call it, the vamp compound -- outside of town.

There's a vampire war brewing, and nothing anyone says or does is going to stop it. And thank goodness for that, because it promises to be really entertaining for us.
