One big change on the front of the 1954 Chevy, when compared to the 1953 Chevrolet, was the grill and bumper. On the 1954 Chevy the parking and turn signal lights were set wider apart. By doing this two extra re-styled bullets were added to the grill. The bumper was reshaped and looked similar to the 1955 Chevrolet bumper. Two new looking bumper guards were added in 1954. The hood bird and Chevrolet crest were also changed and was a big improvement over last years model. The hood bird gave the car a feeling of flight.
More changes were made out back on the 1954 Chevy car. Bumper guards matched the front bumper guards, taillights had a new flare and the rear Chevy crest matched the front. Trim along the side was essentially the same with some minor changes.
The new 1954 Chevrolet models were introduced in December of 1953. Model year sales reached 1,414,352 vehicles. Despite the lack of excitement with the 1953 and 1954 cars, Chevrolet had some how remained USA-1. By the end of 1954 the all new "Hot One" was ready. The first of the "classic" Chevy's were ready to set Detroit on its ears and a national love affair was about to begin. Find rare 1954 Chevy C.O.E. Truck.
