Trases was a major mining Age.

It was almost destroyed in 4334 DE ^{(3322 BC)} when a native of the Age made an error while operating D'ni machinery. Many inhabitants were forced to evacuate and in one case a baby was born while its mother linked back to D'ni. This child was later known as the Watcher.

The disaster in this Age was often cited by those D'ni who wished to cut themselves off from outsiders.
