This drakonian law is from Britain. But in most countries, genetic testing by cuckold fathers is getting complicated. In Germany, a similar law to impose jail sentences on fathers was defeated.

One point also is that men who have slept with women do not always know she is married in this case, the fact is that those men – and their children – have a right to know who each other are.

This makes no sense. I consider myself a feminist, and I personally think that a DNA test to confirm fatherhood if the father wants to know for certain should be perfectly ok.
DNA tests should be used whenever it comes to divorce and child support just to make sure that no one is forced to pay child support for kids that are not related by genetics.
However, I don’t think that ALL people should be given a DNA test as just a matter of course because DNA tests do cost a good amount of money and can drive up health care costs. I think it should be optional and the father can choose it if he wants it.

Certain genetic anomalies can falsify paternity AND maternity testing. Chimerism is an example. While it is rare, there have been cases of women being identified through genetic testing as NOT mothering the children that they’ve delivered. This really doesn’t come to light with men, since paternity can easily be credited to someone else if testing doesn’t confirm it.
Let’s say this policy does become standard. Let’s say we have two chimeric individuals, one male, one female. If a woman, who has not undergone any in vitro treatments that would indicate that she was implanted with an embryo that wasn’t hers, shows up as not being the mother of her child. This sets off alarm bells and people look deeper into the situation. They eventually find out that she is a chimera and she maintains her status as mother of the child. If a man shows up as not the father of his child when genetic testing is conducted, it is assumed that the mother of the child has cuckolded the man. This information likely ruins the relationship, breaks up the family and shames the mother who has done nothing wrong and no longer can receive support for this child.
Now, this can really be applied to any legal matter where genetic testing is used as a lynchpin to justify an action. I’m sure at least a few guilty chimeric individuals have been exonerated due to conflicting biological evidence. I figured I’d just put this information out there to let those who think DNA testing is foolproof know that is not completely so.

@nene DNA tests now cost about 250 dollars, retail. I suspect the price could go as low as 10 or 20 dollars when bought by the millions. Certainly under 100 dollars. About 5-15% of the fathers are cuckolded. They don’t even suspect, they don’t even dare to ask for a DNA test, and in most countries they don’t even have the RIGHT to request one (husband is the father by default)
Feminsts always want equal rights. I suggest equal rights for men. Total paternal certainty.
