About the INP

On June 14, 2006, Arellano University formally launched its International Nursing Program (INP), an innovative and unprecedented international nursing partnership  between Arellano University and Alderson-Broaddus College of West Virginia, U.S.A., leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Students will attend classes for the first three years at the Arellano campus with the opportunity to complete their education on their senior year at the Alderson Broaddus campus where they will earn a US diploma in BSN.

The current admission requirements of the INP are as follows:

1.  Application form with 2 two 2x2 pictures

2.  Birth certificate
3.  Official Transcript of Records
4.  Forms 137 (High School Records) and 138
5.  Certificate of Good Moral Character

Additionally, students will need to satisfy the following requirements:

1.  ACT composite score of 20 or above and a score of at least 20 in each individual subject
2.  Grade of “B” or better in two high school general science courses or a “C” or better in one college level general biology course

The INP is a joint international nursing program whereby the curriculum of an American baccalaureate nursing program is implemented in the Philippines at Arellano University to better prepare nursing students for the practice of registered professional nursing in the United States.

Once a student enrolls in the program, progression within the course sequence depends upon the student’s ability to maintain the academic requirements of the Alderson-Broaddus College.

Students with excellent grades entering their fourth year will transfer to Alderson-Broaddus college in the USA, where they will be granted subsidized tuition, board and lodging, and other schooling privileges.

A team of highly-qualified instructors and nursing faculty trained in AB will teach the program.  Faculty members periodically meet with their counterparts at the Alderson-Broaddus College to synchronize teaching methodologies and upgrade each other’s standards. The International Nursing Partnership Team of Alderson-Broaddus College, headed by A-B College of Nursing Dean Dr. Thresia Witt and INP Director Dr. Joan Propst, also visits Arellano University every semester to ensure the strict implementation of the teaching quality standards required in the INP.
