Whitney Port's been spotted at a variety of events with her supercute boyfriend, Ben Nemtin (from MTV's "The Buried Life"), and it looks like things are still going strong between them. On Friday, the darling couple attended Rolling Stone's Hot Party in Las Vegas and cozied up alongside each other. Whit, who's been donning a lot of black lately, kept up the trend in a loose sequin shift dress with peep-toe booties.

After learning this week that Snooki from "Jersey Shore" is jumping on the author bandwagon, we started thinking about the number of MTV alum that've invested their time penning books for fans--and it sure seems like most of 'em came from the former "Hills" cast.

Lauren Conrad's already put a set of bestsellers on the shelf, and in just a few days, she'll release two more books: "Style," a guide-meets-diary of sorts, and her third novel "Sugar and Spice" (see covers above). Her former costar Whitney Port's also been busy writing an advice book for her peers called "True Whit: Designing A Life Of Style, Beauty And Fun," which is available for pre-order now.

And they're not the only Hillzies who've offered up a few tips on paper. Recently reconciled couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag released "How To Be Famous" late last year, which provided stargazing readers with a step-by-step handbook to becoming tabloid fixtures. Kristin Cavallari's planning to craft a tell-all and Lo Bosworth's busy putting together a dating guide, slated to be released in January 2011.

Who would ever have thunk that partying and getting into catfights could land you a book deal? Maybe I should go slap my boss and call her a "sucky person"!

While most of us watched Snooki defend herself against the swarm of grundle chodes on last night's episode of "Jersey Shore," the Angelina-dissing castie slipped on a Cookie Monster costume and paid the Jimmy Kimmel show a visit. (My how this cutie's changed her look since Season 1!) And what were the rest of her roomies up to? Pauly D tried to apologize to Usher on behalf of Snooks (apparently, she was embarrassingly starstruck), and Sammi addressed some rumors that she had plastic surgery done.

Elsewhere, a few MTV casties were concerned about their health-- booty-shaker Audrina Patridge was trying to avoid a cold, and Whitney Port got really car sick (those New York City cabs will getcha, Whit!).

Black has forever been the color du jour among hip New Yorkers, and earlier this week our two favorite "City" starlets proved just how sophisticated it can look when worn from head to toe. At Maroon 5's Hands All Over album release party on Tuesday, designer Whitney Port wore a classic LBD with full shoulders and booties of the same shade. A day earlier, her costar (and frenemy) Olivia Palermo--who lately has been wearing a lot of black and white as well--oozed classic glam at the The Pringle Of Scotland show in a structured black dress, Charlotte Olympia bowtie booties and an Hermès clutch.

We're sorta in between seasons here in New York, and that can create a lot of confusion when trying to find the right outfit to wear. Still, the always resourceful Whitney Port proved she doesn't have that problem when she nailed this neutral ensemble at yesterday's eBay Fashion LookBook event at Cooper Square Hotel in Manhattan. The designer and "City" star wore a retro beige printed dress with a bow at the neckline, black ankle booties and a skinny belt.

Whitney Port's been hard at work preparing for her Spring 2011 presentation, which happened on Saturday in New York City. The last collection we saw, which made its way down the Bryant Park runway during the Season 2 premiere of "The City," was very Whit -- bright, fun and girly. This time, the budding designer is showing signs of maturity.

Whitney kept the pastel, fun prints that she loves, but incorporated more utilitarian colors and pieces like harem pants, jumpers and blazers. Check out the leggy models sporting her line and let us know what you think of the clothes!

With hundreds of New York retail stores participating in this year's Fashion's Night Out, selecting the right place to rub shoulders with the in-crowd must have been overwhelming for all the invitees. Designer Whitney Port spent Fashion's Night Out at the Giuseppe Zanotti Design Boutique, looking super glam in a black lace tank top and pleated skirt. Her "City" costar Olivia Palermo hung out at Henri Bendel, sporting an intricately woven yellow Diane von Furstenberg dress and charcoal lace-up booties.

Earlier this week, we reported a rumor that ex-"Hills" star-turned-author-turned-fashion designer Lauren Conrad might actually return to reality TV, so we took it upon ourselves to drum up some concepts for her next gig. Ya know, just in case she's not sure what she wants to do. Take a look and tell us what you think of these options:

1. JUDGE ON "PROJECT RUNWAY"
Lauren's already a successful designer, so maybe she should sit alongside Michael Kors and provide the contestants secrets for how to reach the big time. She has all the right credentials: working on her Kohl's collection with ex-"Project Runway" contestant Ra'mon Lawrence Coleman AND guest judging "America's Next Top Model."

2. TALK SHOW HOST
Even though Lauren's roommate, Lo, has aspirations of doing the same thing, LC would be great at getting her guests to gab about personal moments. Let's review her strong points: She doesn't stand for the bull, has no problem holding back her opinions when it comes to "sucky people" and doles out fabulous put-you-in-your-place one-liners (who can forget her famous "so I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you" speech?).

3. "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT
She can join forces with Audrina Patridge and show off everything she learned at the Crillon Ball in Paris. It would be fun to see LC out of her element, completely covered in bronzer and glitter. (Can you imagine -- even though they don't pair stars up together -- if she danced with "The Situation"?).

4. JOIN "THE CITY"
Isn't it time that Lauren left the Hollywood Hills and moved to Manhattan, the city that'll make you or break you (even though the girl's already made it by a mile)? She'll reconnect with Whit, get a workshop where the two can sketch their designs and just power her way through the mean streets of New York City (ooh, and maybe even use her sharp-tongue skills to tell Olivia Palermo off).

+ What do you think of our show picks? Have an idea in mind that we missed? Pipe up in the comments!

We've seen photos of Olivia Palermo and her steady arm candy Johannes Huebl for a while now (is it us, or does he just keep getting hunkier by the day?), but she's not the only "City" star who's happily spending her days in a serious relationship. Costar Whitney Port's also been spotted at a variety of events with her supercute boyfriend, Ben Nemtin (from MTV's "The Buried Life"). The guys' styles are fairly different--Johannes is more GQ, whereas Ben's def a Nylon guy--but they both seem to make their girlfriends smile from ear to ear.

+ Assuming you could pry Olivia and Whitney away, which guy would you rather date? Take the poll and pick your dream mate!

There's always a bit of a fashion face-off whenever Whitney Port and Roxy Olin go to events together, but that's only because they both have such different looks. Last week, "The City" stars teamed up for the Reality Cares Achievement Awards at the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles. Whitney showed off her au courant style in a silver sequin dress by Mandalay, black Miu Miu shoes and sultry eye makeup, while Roxy donned a multicolored floral dress and soft pink lipstick. The beautiful duo posed on the carpet, then went inside where Roxy was on hand to present Whitney with the "Style Achievement Award."

+ Check out the pics, then tell us who you think looked better strutting her stuff on the red carpet! (We call a tie.)
