Bilal Mian

I was born and raised in Clifton, New Jersey. I can’t say much about the town beside its a quiet little town about fifteen minutes from New York City. I come from a Pakistani heritage, which makes my interest in the entertainment world both weird and unorthodox to everyone in my family. They never seemed to understand why I enjoy watching television shows and movies so much. I guess enjoyment isn’t a logical answer.

I’m a production major at Rutgers Newark. I aspire to become a film editor. It seems weird to many, but sitting down and editing video has always brought a strange calm to me. I guess it has to do with the feeling of putting together something that has had hours spent on it.

Along with television and movies, gaming and books are a big part of my life. Staying up to date with most of the major games is as important to me as catching the must see shows and movies. Books on the other hand are more for leisure. I somehow managed to read a book off of my iPod Touch causing me to switch from physical to digital copies of books. Using the Kindle app I managed to read 17 books last year off of my iPod before finally purchasing an actual Kindle.

Writing to be honest is something that I don’t tend to do frequently. In some cases I hate doing it ::stares blankly at college essays::. I first started writing reviews for movies that I had watched due to friends asking how it was since I had made a habit of going to the theater more than the normal person. I slowly added books and games to the list of reviews. Some people say I have a natural talent to write. I still don’t see it mostly due to the procrastination taken upon writing anything.

Oh and while I have people’s attention. People from Jersey are nothing like people from Jersey Shore -_-
