The Tigers have signed Italian goalkeeper Vito Mannone on loan from Arsenal.

The 22-year-old stopper has signed initially until January 3rd 2011 and is available for selection for Tuesday night's game against Sheffield United.

Mannone joined Arsenal in 2005 from Atalanta, although his first taste of English football came during a loan spell at Barnsley a year later. He has also represented his country at under-21 level.

He has had to remain patient at the Emirates Stadium and has made a dozen appearances which have included Premier League and Champions League football.

Mannone arrives at the KC Stadium in search of regular first-team football and will wear squad number 29.
