This is your chance to submit your music straight to the people that matter

Upload songs that you or your band have recorded and they'll be considered for local or even national airplay on the BBC.

If your music is really strong, we might offer you the opportunity to record a live session or perform on the BBC Introducing stage at a major UK festival

How do I use the upload tool?

The first time you use this system, you'll need to follow these steps:

  1. 1. Sign In to your BBC iD membership account, or Register if you do not have an account already. Follow the steps to create a membership account with BBC iD. Once you've completed this, you'll be taken back here.
  2. 2. Follow the link labelled 'Create Your Profile' on the right hand side of the page, and fill out all the boxes with information about you/your band. Click 'Update' at the foot of the page when you're done.
  3. 3. You'll then be taken to the 'Upload A Track' page, where you can select an MP3 to submit to us.
  4. 4. That's it! We'll notify you by email when your songs are listened to by someone at the BBC, or if they get played on air.

If you want to update your profile information or upload more songs at a later date, just Sign In and follow the links on the right hand side of the page. You can upload a maximum of three tracks in any 30 day period.

Who receives the music I upload?

UK MapWhen you upload a track to us, we automatically send it to the presenters and producers of the local BBC Introducing radio show closest to you, based on your postcode.

In addition, when you first register with us you can choose to target one of the following national BBC programmes with your music:

BBC Radio 1If one of the tracks you upload is played on your local BBC Introducing show, it'll get recommended to BBC Radio 1 automatically, where it could be broadcast by DJs like Huw Stephens to a huge national audience!

Please note: the upload tool is restricted to residents of the UK only. You wlil need to enter a valid UK postcode at the point of registration.
