Apple offers free case for iPhone 4 users
At an unprecedented press conference to address concerns with the iPhone 4's antenna, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced that the company will distribute free cases to iPhone 4 owners. Apple iPhone 4 - 32GB - black (AT&T)

Apple iPhone 4 - 32GB - black (AT&T;)

The bottom line: With the iPhone 4, Apple again shows that it is a powerful player in the smartphone wars. It won't be for everyone, the call quality and reception vary if you don't use a case, and AT&T;'s network remains a sticking point, but the handset's striking design, loaded feature set, and generally agreeable performance make it the best iPhone yet.

Apple iPhone 3GS - 32GB - black (AT&T;)

The bottom line: The iPhone 3GS doesn't make the same grand leap that the iPhone 3G made from the first-generation model, but the latest Apple handset is still a compelling upgrade for some users. The iPhone 3GS is faster and we appreciate the new features and extended battery life, but call quality and 3G reception still need improvement.

There's a new Palm handset! It's the Palm Pre 2, and it's... very similar to the old Palm Pre. Oh well. However, we do get excited about the RIM BlackBerry Style, cheaper prepaid plans, 4G in the Big Apple, and yes, even the Verizon iPhone. Also: A special report on the new FaceTime for Mac.
