Born in Arras, France, Caroline Duprot trained at the Paris Opera School under the direction of Francesca Zumbo, as well as at the Institut de Paris.
Duprot joined the English National Ballet in 1996 where her roles included Alice in Derek Deanne’s Alice in Wonderland, Calliope in Apollo, Spring Fairy in Cinderella, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara in The Nutcracker, the pas de quatre and a swan in Swan Lake, as well as various solos in Paquita and Raymonda, She was promoted to soloist in 2002.
Duprot then joined The Royal Ballet where her repertoire included the pas de six in Giselle, Princess Stephanie in Mayerling, Clara in The Nutcracker, Olga in Onegin, Fairy of the Songbirds in
The Sleeping Beauty and Effie in La Sylphide. She has also danced in works by George Balanchine,
Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Mark Morris and Jiri Kylian.
Duprot’s awards include a silver medal at the Grasse Competition, first prize in the Stanlowa, Paris and Carpeau Competitions and a silver medal at the Bordeaux Competition.
Duprot joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in January 2009.
