Indonesia tsunami rescue teams 'face difficulties'

Help

A tsunami triggered by a 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit a group of remote Indonesian islands has killed more than 300 people.

Amateur footage broadcast on local TV shows significant damage to houses and the surrounding area on the Mentawai islands, with survivors looking through rubble for their belongings.

Speaking from Pedang, Dewi Safitri a reporter for the BBC Indonesian Service, says that accessing the affected areas is one the biggest obstacles facing rescue teams.
