FINISHED MEASUREMENT

Blanket measures approximately 37 x 40"/94 x 101.5 cm

 

GAUGE

In established pattern, 1 pattern repeat and 12 rows = 4"/10 cm.

In double crochet, 14 sts and 8 rows = 4"/10 cm.

 

STITCHES USED

Chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (slip st), treble crochet (tr)

 

SPECIAL TERMS

FPdc: Front-post double crochet—Yarn over, insert hook from front to back and then to front again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up loop, complete as dc.

BPdc: Back-post double crochet—Yarn over, insert hook from back to front and then to back again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up loop, complete as dc.

FPtr: Front-post treble crochet—[Yarn over] twice, insert hook from front to back and then to front again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, complete as tr.

BPtr: Back-post treble crochet—[Yarn over] twice, insert hook from back to front and then to back again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, complete as tr.

Shell: 5 dc in indicated st.

sc2tog: Single crochet 2 together— Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, (two loops on hook), insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through all three loops on hook.

 

NOTE

It can be difficult to work a back-post stitch behind stitches just made. Turning the work, working a front-post stitch and then turning the work back again produces the same results.
