The TCU-Utah matchup this week is big news locally, but is the rest of the nation interested in the clash between two undefeated Mountain West Conference schools?

Yes. Emphatically yes.

CBS college sports has a roundtable discussion, where despite trying to promote the Boise State game, most of the panel feels the schools do not belong.

The game has big and obvious implications for the conference and national rankings but the BCS poll that currently puts each team in the top five has both in the discussion, along with the BCS No. 4 team Boise State, about who could and should be in the national championship game.

Not everybody thinks the non-automatically qualifying schools deserve a shot but everybody seems to be talking about it.

CBS college sports has a roundtable discussion, where despite trying to promote the Boise State game, most of the panel feels the schools do not belong.

Not only are the media outlets talking about it, sports fans are joining in the discussion with over 1,000 comments, largely about the way college sports should decide its champion.

The Dallas Morning News emphasizes the prize really at stake in the game is staying in contention to play for a national championship.

Pat Forde has an okay video but a great story that asks "What if NCAA basketball were NCAA football?"

Remember current Jazzman Gordon Heyward's Butler Bull(under)dogs carving up favored teams in Salt Lake City last March? So does Forde and so does Butler coach Brad Stevens who told Forde, "There's certainly all kinds of ways to argue it, but if you don't have a playoff, you'll never know, You've got 12 weeks of talking and never get to see what would happen. The best thing about the NCAA tournament is that the talking doesn't matter."

Forde then lists the TCU vs. Utah game at the top of his ten best of the month.
