Turkish President Abdullah Gul came together with Turks in England.

Representatives of the Turkish community living in England attended the reception at the Turkish Embassy in London.

President Abdullah Gul has called on Turkish citizens and Cypriot Turks to be more effective in England and express Turkey's theses in the best way possible.

Gul said "Indeed, Britain has special importance for both Turkey and our Cypriot Turk brothers. Britain is one of the guarantor countries for Cyprus along with Turkey and Greece. Therefore, we are in close cooperation and have warm relations with Britain."

As part of his official contacts, President Gul will meet British Premier David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Klegg and Foreign Minister William Hague.

European Union, Cyprus and regional matters will dominate the agenda of the talks. Also President Gul will receive Chatham House 2010 award from Queen Elizabeth II.

President Gul will also be delivering speeches. In Chatham House, Gul will talk about Turkey's vision on international relations and Turkish foreign policy. In Oxford University President Gul will mention democracy and development in the Islamic world.
