2011 ACS/ASA Health Policy and Management Scholarship

The American College of Surgeons and the American Surgical Association are offering an annual scholarship to subsidize attendance and participation in the Executive Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. The course takes place June 1–7, 2011. The award is in the amount of $8,000, to be used toward the cost of tuition, travel, housing, and subsistence during the period of the course.


The 2012 ASA membership cycle is now open. The ASA proposal for membership form shall be initiated online, by an ASA member, via the Members Only Area. A current CV, reprints of the Candidate's three most important contributions to the surgical literature, and a complete bibliography should be submitted in accordance with the Instructions for Completion of the Proposal for Membership. Please note that a candidate’s electronic membership application must be completed and submitted online by March 1, 2011, and all support letters uploaded by a candidate’s sponsors and up to three additional Fellows by March 31, 2011, in order for the applicant’s name to be read at the 2011 Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida.
