Gov. Jennifer Granholm is asking the nation’s top lenders to suspend all Michigan foreclosures until an investigation is finished into legal irregularities.
In a normal real estate market, it would be a developer’s dream: 33 acres with low township taxes and Ann Arbor schools.
Michigan has joined with officials in the rest of the states and the District of Columbia to investigate whether lenders followed the law while foreclosing on homeowners across the country.
